3 Sweet Snacks When You’re on the Keto Diet

Contrary to popular belief, sweet snacks don’t necessarily have to be off-limits when you’re following the keto diet. With a few substitutes and a little bit of imagination, you can make scrumptious desserts at home whenever you like!

Here’s a list of the top 3 picks for keto-friendly sweet snacks:

1. Keto Chocolate Frosty

This decadent cross between a milkshake and frozen yoghurt is sure to keep you cool and satisfied during those hot summer days.

What You Will need:

  1. ½ cup heavy whipping cream
  2. ¼ cup unsweetened almond milk
  3. 3 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
  4. ½ tsp vanilla extract
  5. 2 tbsp sweetener

Blend all ingredients together till soft peaks are formed. Transfer the chocolate cream mixture to a piping bag and place it in the freezer until it reaches the desired temperature. Pipe out the frosty in a tall glass and enjoy!

2. Keto Banana Bread

This keto-friendly, low-carb banana bread is all that is missing from your keto diet. Top it with chocolate chips or dried nuts, and there’s nothing that can go wrong with this recipe.

What you will need:

  1. 1 overripe banana
  2. 2 large eggs
  3. 2 egg yolks
  4. ½ cup melted butter
  5. 1 tsp vanilla extract
  6. ¾ cup almond flour
  7. ¼ cup flax meal
  8. ½ cup sweetener of choice
  9. ¼ tsp pink salt
  10. 1 tsp baking powder

Preheat the oven to 180 degrees Celsius and grease a bread tin. In a large bowl, mash the banana and combine all the wet ingredients such as butter, eggs, and vanilla. Fold in the dry ingredients till fully mixed and transfer in the bread tin. Bake for 30 to 35 minutes till golden brown and served best when warm.

3. Keto Peanut Butter Bars

These addictive keto peanut butter bars are the ultimate snack to munch on. They are completely sugar and grain-free, and you can bet money on the fact they taste exactly like Reese’s Peanut Butter Cups.

What you need:

  1. ¾ cup melted butter
  2. ¾ cup melted smooth peanut butter
  3. ½ cup sweetener
  4. 1 tsp vanilla extract
  5. 2 cups almond flour
  6. ¼ tsp pink salt
  7. 85 grams of sugar-free dark chocolate

Line a square pan with baking paper and set it aside. In a large bowl, combine all wet ingredients – melted butter, melted peanut butter, sweetener, vanilla. Fold in the almond flour and mix till it forms a dough. Press the dough firmly into the prepped pan. For the chocolate glaze, microwave the dark chocolate with 2 tablespoons of butter in 30-second intervals. When completely melted, pour over the peanut butter dough and spread evenly. Refrigerate for an hour before serving.
